These are the last two safe teams in the league table at the moment, and a direct encounter will certainly be nerve-racking. They are level on 34 points each, and furthermore, the first two teams in the relegation zone – Bournemouth and Aston Villa, have tough fixtures this weekend.

As such, the winner between these two will gain a huge momentum in their race towards safety.

Considering the phenomenal win posted by the Hammers the last game week, their recent h2h superiority over the Hornets, and the season-long struggles of Nigel Pearson’s men on the road – expect a West Ham win this Friday.

In the meanwhile, the Hornets registered a 2-1 win at home the past game week, against Newcastle. Troy Deeney scored both the goals for the hosts.

As things stand, Moyes’s men have the upper hand. They are on a two-game winning run in h2h clashes, and had scored seven goals in the process. They had also recorded 16 of the preceding 23 overall h2h wins, and have lost just four times against this opponent at this ground since 1989.

They are also high in confidence due to their total domination over the Canaries in their latest PL match.
