West Ham absolutely dominated Group B in the Conference League so far, and are at the top of the table with a 100% winning record. They easily are the favorites this Thursday to extend their impressive run, by registering another win against their Danish counterparts Silkeborg.
The Hammers already have a lead of six points at the top of the table, and even a draw this match-day would confirm themselves as the champions of the group.
This sense of safety will be a huge confidence-boost for them – especially so in front of their home crowd.
They have been on a superb run lately, and lost just thrice in total since August. Note that two of these defeats came against Liverpool, and Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Silkeborg are struggling with their performances lately. They dropped a lot of points in their domestic league – and even though they are placed second in the table in their Conference League group, they are trailing by six points.
Moreover, their only two wins in the competition came against the dead-last placed FCSB as well – who are here just to gain some experience. Not even ardent fans of FCSB expected any miracle from them.
All of these point towards that English titans West Ham are the favorites to post the three points.
The few losses that the Hammers faced in the past several months came against some of the best in the English top flight.
They are in great form at the moment – and particularly so at home. They built great momentum from these results, and will be eager to guarantee their first spot in the group with a win this Thursday itself, in front of their home crowd.
It helps their cause that they are pitted against Silkeborg, who are not at all equipped to take on an experienced team from the EPL. Moreover, the reverse match-up already went in favor of the English.
Surely expect a win for West Ham this Thursday.
