West Ham started their campaign on a rather poor note, but lately have been improving. They are desperate to make amends for all the dropped points, and they will be thanking their lucky stars for this upcoming encounter against the struggling Bournemouth. 

Bournemouth are a recent addition to the Premier League, and this itself is a major disadvantage for them against the veterans of the league.  

Moreover, they recorded just three wins in the competition so far, and these three matches were against teams currently placed 17th or lower in the table. 

Defense happens to be one of their major issues they need to worry about – so much so that they let in the same number of goals as that of the dead-last placed Nottingham. In fact, only one squad in the entire competition let in more goals than them.

On the other hand, Bournemouth won just twice since the first week of August, and all along they struggled with their defense. In addition, they are also on the road – and are pitted against a determined and experienced squad.
