Waasland-Beveren vs Sint-Truiden
Belgium – First Division A
Date: Saturday, 18 August 2018
Kick-Off at 19:00 UK / 20:00 CET
Venue: Freethiel Stadion, Beveren.
Sint-Truiden can already be proclaimed as kings of draws since none of three games they’ve played so far in the season brought a winner.
Can such trend be continued on Saturday evening when they travel to Freethiel Stadion to tackle Waasland-Beveren?
Waasland-Beveren started in a similar fashion, playing back-to-back draws to Zulte-Waregem and Standard Liege.
They will, however, come into the match lower on confidence after falling 4-1 to Gent last weekend.
In all fairness, we have to say Yannick Ferreira’s troops had a very complicated schedule at the start of the season as the clash with the Canaries will be the first against a team which did not feature the Championship Round in the last term of First Division A.
Marc Brys’ men played very tight at the back at the start of the season as none of their opening three ties saw three or more goals scored. They only notched two goals so far, but also concede the same amount in spite of tough fixtures against Genk and Lokeren in past two rounds.
Knowing that the hosts did not shine up front in their outings, we have to notice the value in the 2.05 odds offered for the Under 2.5 goals FT bet.
The draw is obviously attractive at 3.50 based on previous results, while we also fancy the home win or draw double chance at 1.66 since Sint-Truiden won just one of 14 away games in the previous term of the competition (regular season).
Under 2.5 goals FT @ 11/10 (2.10)
Waasland-Beveren or Draw Double Chance @ 2/3 (1.66).
