Roma did not get the start they wanted, playing only a 2-2 stalemate on the opening day of the 2023/24 Serie A campaign in the home fixture with Salernitana.

Veteran Antonio Candreva proved fatal to Jose Mourinho and his troops as he completed a brace last weekend in the capital.

Mourinho can feel unlucky with such an outcome as Roma were indeed the dominant side in the game. La Lupa allowed just three shots in total in the 90 minutes of play and yet they conceded two goals on the occasion.
