Round number six in Italian Serie A is going to be wrapped up on Monday night at Marc’Antonio Bentegodi where Hellas Verona welcomes Benevento.
Hosts have been performing slightly above expectations so far, sitting in eight place with eight points from five duels.
Last week they bravely stood against Juventus in Torino and got rewarded with a draw. That match could have gone both ways as both teams had a couple of colossal chances in the late stages.
Benevento’s matches usually end up with high number of goals, like in the last three appearances. We should see an interesting encounter.
These two teams have met twice in season 2018/19 when they were members of Serie B. Interestingly, away teams were victorious in both occasions.
The most recent game took place at this stadium in April 2019 and Benevento won 3-0.

Hellas Verona have lost only one Serie A match this season. This team has kept three clean sheets so far, which is quite impressive considering names of teams they played against. They have the best defensive stats in the league, conceding only two goals so far.
Efficiency definitely could have been better though. If we exclude the default result against AS Roma, Hellas Verona scored only two goals, both by Andrea Favilli. We are not expecting to see a big change in their approach to matches on Monday neither.
Benevento were lucky enough to collect six quick points in the early stages of the season against Bologna and Sampdoria. They are currently on an awful run of three consecutive losses to Roma, Napoli and Empoli, conceding grand total of 11 goals in those duels. We expect to see them neutralized by Verona’s defense on Monday.
