Venezia and Torino will drop the curtain on the Matchday No 6 in Serie A on Monday evening when they take on each other at the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo.

Torino have caught a wonderful spell of form in the last couple of weeks. It seems that the former Hellas Verona manager Ivan Juric has found the winning formula as his team looked fantastic in the last three rounds.

Il Toro won two and drew one of the last three Serie A fixtures. They were right on course to win the third straight game on Thursday, but conceded the late 91st-minute penalty to Lazio (ended in a 1-1 draw).

Nonetheless, Juric can be thrilled with his men’s showing on the occasion. Torino controlled the pitch completely against one of the best teams in the division. They let Lazio take no more than attempts in total (all attempts, not just on target).

Torino had previously kept clean sheets in the back-to-back wins over Salernitana and Sassuolo.

They have a nice chance to keep it going here against recently-promoted Venezia who are still adjusting to the top-tier standards.

Venezia lost four of their opening five matches of the season. The latest failure came on Wednesday evening against Milan (a 2-0 loss at the Stadiu Giuseppe Meazza).

Venezia played only one game at home this season and they lost it 1-2 to Spezia last weekend.
