Urartu vs Farul Constanta

Urartu offered a much stronger resistance than expected seven days ago in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round against Farul Constanta.
The Armenian outfit even had the lead on two separate occasions last week in Romania but they ended up losing 3-2 after a goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
It was an open affair in general with many goal-scoring chances at both ends. Farul had a double-digit number of shots on target on the occasion which says it all.
The Romanians are still the favorites to advance but it is interesting to see the Armenians as the slight favorites for the win in the second leg in front of their fans in Yerevan.
When you look at the squads’ quality, Farul should realistically not have too many problems in this matchup.
Also, Urartu have not advanced from any European tie in 13 consecutive attempts, including this season’s elimination at the hands of Zrinjski Mostar in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.
Nevertheless, the performances Urartu have shown in Europe this year were fairly impressive and we can by no means count them out ahead of this reverse outing.
Farul, on the other side, were eliminated by FC Sheriff after conceding two extra-time goals in the reverse game in Moldova.
They will go into this tie off the back of a 1-3 home defeat to Politechnica Iasi in the third round of the new season in the Romanian top flight.
We can’t ignore the value of the 3.10 odds offered for Farul’s win here. After all, Urartu have lost 13 subsequent ties in Europe while Farul Constanta are looking for a deep run in this competition after recent investments in the club.
We will back the away win as the main pick at the 3.10 odds while you can alternatively take the 3.00 odds for the visitors to score two or more goals on Thursday.
