Ukraine vs England
EURO Qualifications
Date: 9 September 2023, Saturday
Kick-off at 17:00 UK / 18:00 CET
Venue: Tarczynski Arena (Wroclaw).
Tarczynski Arena in Polish city of Wroclaw will play host to Ukraine’s home match against England in the fifth round of the UEFA EURO qualifications.
England are cruising towards the top spot in the group with four wins in four games and a 15-1 goal difference along the way.
It is a super-impressive record if we know they’ve already faced the likes of Italy and Ukraine.
Gareth Southgate’s men will be big favorites on Saturday as well, although the match itself carries a much greater significance for the Ukrainians.
Ukraine rebounded from the inaugural defeat at Wembley Stadium by beating North Macedonia and Malta in the previous two rounds.
However, the team led by Serhiy Rebrov did not shine at all in recent matches in June, beating both group underdogs by a single-goal margin only and completing a crazy second-half comeback away against North Macedonia along the way.
Ukraine clearly have defensive issues after conceding two or more goals in three of the last four matches.
This is why no means a promising sign ahead of the clash against one of the deadliest attacking units in Europe.
Harry Kane has five goals in four games, while Bukayo Saka completed a hat-trick in the 7-0 drubbing of North Macedonia in June.
It is very hard to look past England here. They have so much quality in their ranks and they would be favorites against almost any team on the continent right now.
The first bet will be England to win to nil at the 2.25 odds since Ukraine have found the back of the net just once in the previous five meetings with the Three Lions. We will alternatively go with Harry Kane to score anytime at the 2.00 odds knowing Ukraine allowed two or more goals in three of the last four outings.
