Udinese will search their maiden win of the season on Saturday afternoon when they host Frosinone in the third round of Serie A.

The hosts opened the new campaign with a tough 0-3 defeat to Juventus on the home patch. The players did make amends on Monday night, showing a much better performance in a 1-1 away draw at Salernitana.

The good news for the fans is that Lazar Samardzic, who was on the brink of making a big summer transfer, is still with the team and bagging goals as the Serbian international bagged the team’s lone goal five days ago at Salernitana.

Head coach Andre Sottill will hope to see more from his attacking unit this weekend as the clash against the likes of Frosinone should provide a nice opportunity for the inaugural three-pointer.

That said, Frosinone will travel north on the back of a big scalp. They shocked Atalanta 2-1 last weekend on the home patch thanks to a stunning start to the game and a couple of early goals on the occasion.

They had earlier lost 1-3 to defending champions Napoli in the season opener as the schedule does not quite work in favor of new manager Eusebio Di Francesco.

Frosinone left space behind in both games so far in the season but it is hard to draw serious conclusions about their defense knowing they’ve faced the likes of Atalanta and Napoli in the process.
