Irtysh Pavlodar vs Trakai FK
Europa League First qualifying round
Date: Thursday, 19th July 2018
Kick-off at 16:00 UK/ 17:00 CET
Venue: Centralnyj Stadion (Pavlodar).
Everything left to play for at Pavlodar after the teams played out a goal-less stalemate in the first leg a week ago.
Both teams are coming on the back of turbulent form in their respective domestic leagues and leaky defenses could produce a high number of goals in this match as opposed to what happened a week ago.
The teams haven’t met before their meeting at Vilnius last week.
Pavlodar are performing very poor this season and they are sitting in the relegation zone. They are in the streak of four defeats in a row, having severe issues in converting their chances into goals.
Milos Stamenkovic and the lads need to tighten up their defence if they want to get away from the danger zone since they have conceded a lot of goals. Irtysh Pavlodar should put their focus of securing the survival at the end of the season.
Trakai are having a decent season in the national championship as they are sitting on the 4th spot, however they have booked just one win in the past five rounds.
Kibu Vicuna’s side is playing pretty tight and although they haven’t scored too many goals, their defence is doing a fairly good job.
On a different day, Pavlodar would have be favourites in this tie. Under the current circumstances, Trakai look like the side closer to snatch a victory in this tie.
