Back-to-back draws to the Netherlands and Portugal have given the United States a very difficult round of 16 matchup against Sweden on Sunday at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.
The back-to-back champions and the most successful team in the history of the competition are still the top favorites to go all the way in Australia and New Zealand but can we justify the low odds offered for the Americans ahead of this tie with Sweden?

These two teams know each other very well. We expect a tight affair without too many chances on either end, especially knowing about the struggles the USWNT had with efficiency so far in the tournament.
