Suwon Bluewings vs Kashima Antlers
AFC Champions League
Date: Wednesday, 24 October 2018
Kick-Off at 11:00 UK / 12:00 CET
Venue: Suwon World Cup Stadium (Suwon).
Suwon Bluewings got off to a dream start in the first leg of their AFC Champions League semi-final tie with Kashima Antlers netting two goals within the opening six minutes of the affair. Nevertheless, they got away empty-handed losing 3-2 at the end and need to chase the deficit in the reverse fixture at their Suwon World Cup Stadium on Wednesday.
Suwon’s right-back Atsuto Uchida was the man who stole the show when the two teams met at the start of the month. He scored an own goal two minutes into the game, but also bagged the match-winner in the third-minute of the added time.
The Korean outfit won the elite Asian competition two times in the past, while Kashima Antlers have never lifted the AFC Champions League silverware.
We should really see goals in the rematch as well based on sides’ playing style. Suwon bagged two or more goals in each of last three home games in all competitions. They do struggle to keep things tight at the back which is why Seo Jung-Won’s men sit only fourth after 33 rounds of the competition in K League 1.
Antlers also hold the fourth position in their respective league after 29 rounds. They will enter the match in lower spirits following a streak of two losses and draws apiece after the mentioned Champions League victory over Suwon.
Kashima conceded two or more goals in each of last three domestic affairs which is why we see a tremendous value in backing the hosts to net two or more goals at the odds of 2.37 here.
