Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Gujarat Titans Prediction and Match Preview

Peter Green - April 5, 2025

The Orange Army started the season with a brilliant win against Rajasthan Royals but have struggled since. They are now on a three-match losing streak and are at the bottom of the points table.

SRH face a stern test this Sunday as they host a confident Gujarat Titans side. After losing their opening match, GT bounced back with two solid wins.

Head-to-Head

Since Gujarat Titans joined the IPL in 2022, matches between these two teams have been quite close. While SRH had the upper hand early on with a couple of wins, GT have come back strong with dominant performances.

Gujarat Titans have now beaten Sunrisers in their last three meetings. GT won their most recent clash comfortably by seven wickets.

Key Players to Watch

Heinrich Klaasen (SRH): Klaasen has been very important in the middle order for SRH. When the rest of the batting line-up failed, he stayed at the crease as long as he could and scored 33 runs — the highest for SRH in that match. So far, he has scored 125 runs in his first four games this season.

Sai Sudharsan (GT): One of the most consistent players this season, Sai Sudharsan missed a half-century by just one run in the last match. Interestingly, that score of 49 is his lowest so far this season.

Sai Kishore (GT): Sai Kishore is proving to be a great asset for the Gujarat Titans. He is currently their top wicket-taker, with six wickets in just three games. His best performance, 3/30, came against Punjab Kings, who are currently one of the strongest teams.

Mohammed Siraj (GT): Siraj is the second most dangerous bowler in the GT squad. He has taken at least two wickets in each of his last two games. His best recent spell was 3/19 in four overs against his former team, RCB.

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Gujarat Titans Match Prediction & Betting Tips

Whether it’s batting or bowling, they have at least two consistent performers. Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler have been solid with the bat, while Sai Kishore and Mohammed Siraj have impressed with the ball.

Meanwhile, SRH’s three-match losing streak includes two games where they failed to cross 160, raising concerns over their batting depth. However, they can’t be completely ruled out, especially with a strong top order featuring Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Travis Head, and Heinrich Klaasen.

SRH to Score Under 26.5 Runs Before First Wicket Falls @ 1.85 Odds

Except for the first match against RR, SRH have failed to keep their opening wicket intact beyond 20 runs. Their inconsistent starts are a major concern, and in two of the last three head-to-head games, they lost their first wicket before reaching 26.5 runs.

Sai Sudharsan to Score Over 27.5 Runs @ 1.85 Odds

Sai Sudharsan has been in great form, scoring 49 or more in all matches this season, including two fifties. This makes the over 27.5 pick a solid option.

Gujarat Titans to Hit Over 8.5 Sixes @ 1.95 Odds

Jos Buttler smashed six sixes alone in the last game against RCB. GT have hit over 8.5 sixes in all three matches this season, proving their big-hitting strength.
