Belgium – First Division A

Venue: Stade du Pays de Charleroi (Charleroi).
Just one point separates the Zebras from getting into the Championship playoffs. As of now, they are trapped in the more tedious and longer Europa League group. If things are to stand this way, it will definitely take the life out of the players, as they would miss the cut by the narrowest of margins.
Only the presence of Lokeren acts as the saving grace for the teams above them, including Adnan Custovic’s men. The team has been putting in one poor display after the other since the beginning of the season. Though a run of three consecutive wins in December raised the hopes of the fans a bit, it seemed like a fluke, and the group regressed back to their mean.
Les Carolos have been unbeaten at their home in eight of their last ten attempts. Seven of these were wins, and the only two losses came against Genk and Standard Liege, two monsters from the top tier of the league table.
On top of that, the team has never failed to score at home against this opponent and had recorded two or more goals in three of the last four such attempts. The team from East Flanders, that has been winless in ten of the last twelve trips, is clearly the underdog here. I expect the home team to take this opportunity to get into the Championship group by force.
The hosts will be leading at half time and will easily score more than two goals by the end of ninety minutes.
