Slovakia vs Russia

Slovakia have started their campaign with two draws and that could be worrying for the nation given that they came against the two weakest sides in the group in Cyprus and Malta.
Slovakia’s last game ended in a 2-2 draw with Malta and they will be the underdogs in this game. The nations last victory came against Scotland going back to November and they come into this game in 4th position.
Russia are in 1st place and will be the favourites to win the group. At the weekend the nation beat Slovenia 2-1 and they have scored 5 goals in their 2 games so far.
Croatia look like they will be the threat for the Russians so they will try and keep up their winning run. Russia’s form has improved this year but they did not have a good record in 2020 which included them losing 5-0 against Serbia.
This is being seen as a close game by the bookmakers with Russia the favourites to win. But Slovakia will not be an easy opponent away from home.
We want to go for the value and that is backing the home side to win this game. There is some risk involved because their recent results have not been good enough. But their coach has been bullish and direct and talked a good match for this one, so we will believe that they will be full of passion and desire to win this.
There is a good record also to see both teams to score so this is another market we will invest in. We expect the game to be quite close and it could open up more in the 2nd half.
