Sheffield Wednesday vs West Brom
England – Championship
Date: Wednesday, 3 October 2018
Kick-Off at 19:45 UK
Venue: Hillsborough Stadium (Sheffield).
West Brom have topped the Championship table with a great three-game winning streak where they beat Bristol City, Millwall and most recently Preston North End – with a total of nine goals scored along the way. They now travel to Hillsborough hoping to build on such performances and snatch the points once again, as Darren Moore looks to further capitalize on such high spirits.
Sheffield Wednesday, on the other end, come into the match after holding off Leeds in a 1-1 draw at this ground on Friday and will surely want to do the same now. However, we’ve seen them bag just one win in last four games and it’s questionable how much of a confidence booster a point at Hillsborough Stadium can be.
Owls have been scoring goals here on the regular but this was their third home outing without a win so it’s fair to say West Brom have right to look forward to the trip in an attempt to connect their fourth Championship win in a row. They have seen a League Cup exit (a 0-3 loss to Crystal Palace) along the way, but it does look Baggies have put it behind them!
We do believe West Brom now have what it takes to build on their winning streak and we’ll now stick our necks out for an Away win at 2.04. They’ve been in great shape recently and it’s rather tough seeing the shaky home side shut them down at this point, with a need for a statement.
We do believe we’ll see goals this time around, though, and we’ll go for their only second high-scoring head-to-head clash in seven occasions, where Over 2.5 goals FT comes at a good-looking 1.80 and has caught a lot of attention with those in the know already.
