Russia vs Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan were humiliated in front of their home fans when the two teams last met in the qualifiers, with the Russians slotting four unanswered goals past them by the end of regulation time.
The hosts hardly broke a sweat in that match-up and subsequently registered sixteen shots at goal, seven of which worked the goalkeeper while their foes were on target on just two occasions throughout the game.
On Friday, Russia were made to work hard at Scotland, but did end up with a 2-1 win after conceding an early goal. Stanislav Cherchesov’s men thus hold on to a four match winning run since humbled by Belgium on matchday 1.
Furthermore, taking revenge on the home team, that too in their own backyard is too good to be true for Kazakhstan at the moment, especially considering that the visitors had just two wins and draws each from four games so far.
Apart from two friendlies, their only previous meeting was the 4-0 thrashing by Russia in the qualifiers.
Kazakhstan are yet to score a goal against Russia in those three meetings.
The Russians have been putting nothing but their best foot forward in their clashes on home soil, and have so far picked up the win in the two matches that they have played here so far.
Additionally, Stanislav Cherchesov’s men found the back of the net ten times from those fixtures alone and have done so without conceding, which is certainly an indication of their prowess in both their attacking and defensive thirds.
Taking into account that they also took down the hosts with a whopping 4-0 scoreline on the deck in their previous encounter, there can be little or no doubt as to whether the Russians can outclass the visitors this week.
As mentioned earlier, the hosts have not been shy in racking up the goals tally in the comforts of their home. Considering that they made light work of their foes last time around as well, expect Russia to contribute three or more goals to scorecards all on their own in this one.
