Real Madrid vs Mallorca
Spanish La Liga
Date: 11 September 2022, Sunday
Kick-off at 13:00 UK / 14:00 CET
Venue: Estadio Santiago Bernabeu (Madrid).
Real Madrid will have a nice chance to maintain their perfect record at the start of the 2022/23 La Liga season on Sunday afternoon when they host Mallorca in Matchday No 5 at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
The reigning champions are yet to make a mistake this season although they have played three of four league outings on the road so far.
Carlo Ancelotti can be thrilled with the form of his attackers at the beginning of the new campaign since Real Madrid have scored at least two goals in all four outings so far.
Interestingly, Los Blancos have also shipped a goal in each of their four wins this term. This includes the last weekend’s 2-1 success against in-form Real Betis in the team’s maiden home fixture of the campaign.
Real Madrid should have an easier job this time around against Mallorca who did not shine in their opening four outings of the season.
The visitors generally rely heavily on defense under Mexican manager Javier Aguirre. They will no doubts park the bus at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu which is why we have reasons to expect the maiden clean sheet of the season from Los Blancos here.
Real Madrid own the joint-best attacking record in the league with eleven goals in four games. They are huge favorites to continue the impressive winning streak here against Mallorca who have been anything but impressive so far in the season.
Since Mallorca’s players will mainly concentrate on defending their own goal here, we doubt they will do much in the final third at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. The home win to nil thus looks as a decent betting option at the 2.10 odds. We will also back Real Madrid to have the lead at the break and win the match at the end at the odds of 1.72.
