With PSG on a blistering run of form at the moment, Real Madrid’s chances of progressing past the group stages, as the table-toppers, are certainly looking bleak. Nevertheless, count on the Spanish giants to be keen on pulling off a resounding win this week as they square up against the out of shape Galatasaray.
Things have not gone according to plan for Los Blancos, who are currently sitting behind PSG in Group A with a five-point deficit to scale. Their last clash across Europe was against this very same opponent, which they won courtesy of a first-half strike by Toni Kroos.
It is also worth mentioning that the hosts have not let down the home crowd in their clashes up till now and are currently unbeaten in their last six games here.
On the other hand, Galatasaray have got off to a poor start in their European campaign. The away side have garnered no more than a point from their clashes so far, and are deservedly at the bottom of the cluster.
The Turkish outfit have been struggling back in the Super Lig as well, where they are currently seventh on the ladder, five points behind the table-toppers. To pile on even misery, Galatasaray are without a win in their last four outings in all competitions and have failed to find the back of the net in their previous two on the trot.
With Zinedine Zidane’s men on a two-match winning streak at the Bernabeu, Real Madrid should be able to make light work of this foe on Wednesday.
Furthermore, Los Blancos have been consistent in netting two goals or more, in their past five games here. Taking into account that they have also won by a three-goal margin or more in their previous two h2h clashes at this venue, expect Real Madrid to rack up the goals tally with ease in this one.
