Preston are on a two-match winning streak at the moment, the last of which was a 1-0 win over Birmingham on the road in the Championship. The squad took out Hull in the previous knock out round albeit by no less than a whisker, as the game was pushed into penalties after regulation time.

Manchester City returned to winning ways back in the Premier League by absolutely running riot over Watford with eight unanswered goals to their name. The away side have not been shy in reiterating their superiority across Europe either and made light work of Shakhtar in their previous trip on the road.

It certainly goes without saying that Preston will need nothing short of a miracle if they are to get the better of reigning Carabao Cup Champions in this one.
