• West Ham had a tough away match against Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League quarterfinal less than 72 hours ago.
• Fulham produced an encouraging all-around performance last weekend against Newcastle, despite a 0-1 loss on the occasion.
• We saw goals at both ends in each of West Ham’s last seven league outings.

It is not quite the clash against fierce rivals Millwall but West Ham will be highly motivated to get a result against another London opposition on Sunday. On top of bragging rights in the capital, the Hammers will want to make amends for a painful 0-5 defeat at Craven Cottage in the first half of the season. David Moyes’ men host Fulham in Gameweek No 33 at London Stadium.

The match comes just three days after West Ham’s tough Europa League clash against soon-to-be Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen on German soil. Moyes might make some rotations in the starting XI although a result here is an imperative for his team in quest for European positions in the next season.

On the other side, Fulham do not have such an imperative. They fell to 13th position in the Premier League table after a 0-1 home loss to Newcastle last weekend. It was a decent performance in general from Marco Silva’s men but they were unlucky not to score at least once from numerous clear-cut openings in front of Martin Dubravka’s goal.

However, we are quite bothered by the fact that this tie comes right in between the Hammers’ Europa League quarter-final affairs against Bayer Leverkusen. On the other side, Fulham were very dangerous in the final third in the home loss to Newcastle, despite failing to find the back of the net on the occasion. West Ham’s defence has been anything but elite since the start of the season. We might easily see the likes of Rodrigo Muniz, Willian, and Alex Iwobi causing West Ham a lot of problems on Sunday. After all, the Cottagers won the return game 5-0 less than four months ago at Craven Cottage. We’ll back Fulham to win at the 2.90 odds.
