Stromsgodset vs Molde Match Preview

Molde’s winning run continues with another 2-0 win against Tromso in their latest league match. They are currently on a five-match unbeaten run and there is one common factor to all the four victories won in that sequence. Its their Norwegian forward Fredrik Gulbrandsen who found the target in each in all the four matches during that sequence.

But Stromsgodset’s situation is not the same because they have been losing games very routinely in the last few months. Out of 19 rounds of Eliteserien, Stromsgodset lost 15 matches and this placed them in second bottom of the league table.

Regardless of what they have been trying in formations, Fagermo could not find the key to making Stromsgodset score at least a single goal in two of their previous four league matches. His next test is against a well-looking Molde team and it would be even harder because Molde lost only twice in the last 20 encounters with Stromsgodset.

Stromsgodset vs Molde Prediction

A 2-0 win over Haugesund broke a home losing streak of seven games for Stromsgodset a game ago. But rather than sustaining the victory, they went back to their losing ways by suffering a catastrophic 0-5 loss against Bodo/Glimt in the recent home league match.

Molde’s Norwegian strategist Per-Mathias Hogmo is not every time succesful especially when they are away. But when he does, the team achieves a dominating victory. Three of their previous four away wins were the joint effort of both attacking and defending line, scoring 10 and letting in none.

Their recent meetings, though, included the routine posting of below 2.5 goals. All these are signs of a low-scoring encounter with Molde making it a run of three consecutive low-scoring matches with under 2.5 goals against Stromsgodset at Marienlyst Stadion this Sunday. Additionally, Stromsgodset failed to score in four of their last six home games and let in 15 goals during that span. This makes it sure that an away win by 2-0 is certain. Gulbrandsen’s goal-scoring streak can be continued within this match due to the fact that Stromsgodset boasts the second-worst defense line of this whole season.
