Portugal were the only team to win all ten matches in the 2024 Euro qualifications. They looked super-impressive in section J, ending the qualifying campaign with a 36-2 goal difference. Roberto Martinez has named a very strong squad for the Euro, led by Cristiano Ronaldo who has 128 goals in 206 appearances for the national team.

Finland failed to qualify for the biggest continental tournament. They came third in qualifying Group H. Markku Kanerva’s men finished four points below joint-winners Denmark and Slovenia. Finland earned another opportunity to qualify through the playoffs but they fell 1-4 at the hands of Wales in March this year.

Finland had a disappointing qualifying campaign. They lost all three big away matches by at least two goals difference. They fell 1-3 at Denmark, 0-3 at Slovenia, and 1-4 at Wales in the playoffs.

Portugal possess one of the deadliest attacking lines on the continent. Their goal difference of 36-2 from 10 qualifying matches speaks volumes. Also, Portugal claimed a 5-2 victory over Sweden in a friendly in March. They did fall 0-2 at Slovenia just five days after this win, though.

Finland have been horrendous defensively of late, especially against stronger teams on travels. The fact they conceded at least three goals in each of the away outings against Denmark, Slovenia, and Wales is worrying for Markku Kanerva’s team.
