Club Brugge and PAOK will be looking to continue their fairytale European runs in their UEFA Conference League quarter-final double-header. The first leg is scheduled for Thursday evening at Jan Breydelstadion.

Club Brugge have done an amazing job to reach the quarter-final of the competition while starting from the second qualifying round and the matches against Danish side AGF Aarhus last summer. The Belgian heavyweights have eliminated the likes of Osasuna in the playoffs round. They went on to top a very tough group above the likes of Bodo/Glimt, Besiktas, and Lugano. A 3-0 home win over Molde in the second leg of the last-16 round was enough to set them up for this quarter-final clash despite the inaugural narrow loss in Norway.

PAOK have also enjoyed an incredible run from the second qualifying round. Much like Club Brugge, the Greek outfit have won their respective group, beating the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt, HJK, and Aberdeen in the process. PAOK showed huge character and strength to bounce back from the first-leg loss at Dinamo Zagreb (0-2) in the previous round. They responded with a 5-1 victory in the second leg at Toumba Stadion.

It’s been 13 years since these two teams last locked horns in a competitive game. Back then, they shared spoils in two separate 1-1 draws in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.

The two sides also met each other in a preseason friendly in July 2016. PAOK celebrated a 2-0 victory on the occasion. None of the previous three H2wH games between these counterparts thus provided three or more goals.

PAOK have been playing surprisingly attacking football of late. They had scored at least three goals in three successive games across competitions before playing a 2-2 draw to AEK Athens in a huge Greek derby last weekend. Club Brugge also found goals easy to come by of late, especially in front of their fans. The Belgians notched three or more goals in all but one of the previous five home affairs across competitions. The run includes a 3-1 victory over Anderlecht on Sunday afternoon. We will take the 1.80 odds offered for the Over 2.5 goals bet.

PAOK lost just one of seven away outings in this term of the Conference League. The run includes impressive road wins over Aberdeen and Eintracht Frankfurt in the group stage of the competition. The fact they held AEK Athens to a 2-2 stalemate on Sunday also confirms their strong spell of form. The value is with the Greek outfit not to lose at the 2.00 odds.
