France to get off to a strong start

France are looking to make amends for a shocking last-16 round exit at the previous European Championship. They still have a star-studded lineup packed with stars all over the pitch.

The Les Bleus headlined by Kylian Mbappe who has regularly produced for the national team in each of the previous three major tournaments.

France head into this on the back of two wins and a draw in the previous three friendlies. They’ve notched three goals in each of successive wins over Chile and Luxembourg before playing a surprising goalless draw to Canada last weekend.

Austria are on a hot run of form with six wins and a draw in the last seven outings. They’ve managed some big wins in the process, including those against Germany, Slovakia, Turkey, and Serbia.

These wins will count for little when they come face to face with one of the best teams in the world, though. France have 8 wins in the last 12 clashes against the Austrians.
