Phoenix Suns will be hoping to prolong their hot streak of form on Friday night when they host New Orleans Pelicans.
Analysis and Reason for Predictions
New Orleans Pelicans quickly rebounded from the 121-122 overtime loss to Utah Jazz as they saw off Dallas Mavericks 113-111 on Tuesday evening.
They are now 3-1 for the season and will travel to Footprint Center on a high aiming to take the big Phoenix Suns scalp on Friday evening.
The Pelicans did not have the toughest schedule at the beginning of the season. They looked the best in the very opening outing when they bagged 130 points past Brooklyn Nets on the road.
The win against Dallas came as a surprise since the Pelicans were without two of their biggest stars Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson on the occasion.
While the former is expected to return to the floor on Friday for the big game against the Suns, Williamson is unfortunately in for a longer rest through injury.
In the absence of these two stars, the Pelicans’ points were divided across the floor as eight of nine players who featured bagged double-digits on the evening.
Phoenix Suns have faced the likes of LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors in the last two games and they have managed two comprehensive wins in the process.
To go +36 combined against such two powerhouses is something special indeed and the local fans at Footprint Center will no doubts create an electrifying atmosphere on Friday when the Pelicans come to visit Arizona.
Phoenix were especially impressive on Tuesday night, bagging 134 points in the commanding victory against the reigning NBA champions Golden State Warriors.
Devin Booker offered another spectacular game with 34 points and 7 assists. Chris Paul chipped in with 16 points and 9 assists, while Bridges, Landale, and Ayton were all inspired offensively on the occasion.
Phoenix Suns will come into this game in the highest possible spirits and it is hard not to see them as clear favorites against Williamson-less Pelicans. We’ll take the hosts to win in -5.5 points spread at the -110 odds, while we will also take the Over 221.5 points pick at the same -110 odds.
