Minnesota Timberwolves host Western Conference leaders Phoenix Suns on Wednesday evening as both teams are looking for a rebound win.
Analysis and Reason for Predictions
Minnesota Timberwolves lost four of the last five league games which is certainly not encouraging ahead of the clash against the Western Conference leaders Phoenix Suns.
These two teams met each other eight days ago when the Suns did not have too many troubles to see off the Wolves 116-107 on the home floor.
The Timberwolves finally offered a strong offensive display at the weekend, beating Houston Rockets 129-117 at home with seven different players at double-digit figures.
Nonetheless, Chris Finch’s men got back to reality on Monday, falling 107-120 on the home patch to New York Knicks.
Rudy Gobert did not feature in the defeat to New York and is expected to return to the starting lineup here but we must note that Towns and Gobert went minus 17 (-17) during the 21 minutes they spent together on the floor in the clash against the Suns last Tuesday.
Phoenix Suns are 7-3 this season but they won’t come into this tie in much higher spirits either having lost two of the previous three matches.
How they lost the home game to Portland Trail Blazers who were without Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons (their best to scorers this season) is hard to explain.
The latest Phoenix failure came on Monday evening when the team led by Monty Williams notched no more than 88 points in the away loss to Philadelphia 76ers.
The Suns have thus significantly ruined their generally great offensive numbers for the season on the occasion, dropping to the 9th place in the competition’s offensive ratings.
Neither Minnesota nor Phoenix will enter this tie on a high which is why we are tempted to go for the value and back the hosts to get the win at the attractive +150 odds. Since both teams have been struggling offensively in the latest games on Monday, we will also take the Under 225.5 points bet at the -105 odds.
