Partizan vs PFC Sochi

It’s all wide open ahead of the rematch between Partizan and Sochi in their battle for a place in the UEFA Europa Conference League playoffs.
Partizan and Sochi will take on each other in one of the most exciting games of the entire evening in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifications.
The tie is wide open after the 1-1 draw in the first leg played seven days ago on Russian soil.
Sochi left a much better impression on the occasion, leaving the Serbian outfit almost nothing in front of their goal.
Partizan’s players rarely found themselves close to Sochi’s penalty area with the ball. They were lucky to have found the equalizer through striker Ricardo Gomez.
Their goal came from the only shot on target. Moving forward, Partizan took a grand total of zero corners on the occasion.
Despite a much broader European experience they possess, we don’t quite see Aleksandar Stanojevic’s men as favorites here (the bookmakers do, though).
Partizan have played the group stage of a major European competition (Champions League or Europa League) six times in the last decade, while Sochi are just making their debut in European competitions this season.
Nevertheless, it does not have to mean much, especially in this case. Partizan were eliminated in the third round of the UEFA Europa League qualifications by Belgian Charleroi last year.
Sochi put seven goals past Azerbaijani Keshla over two legs in the previous round of the competition. They got off to a fine start to the new Russian Premier League campaign and they will come into this clash with Partizan in the highest of spirits after yet another victory on Monday.
Partizan were also successful in their weekend’s clash, bagging four goals in the drubbing of Novi Pazar on Sunday. The team led by Aleksandar Stanojevic top the Serbian Superliga table with four wins in four games. We feel there will not be much to separate these two outfits on Thursday. Do not be surprised to see another draw in a low-scoring game here.
