Panama vs Ecuador
International – Friendly
Date: Wednesday, 21 November 2018
Kick-Off at 01:00 UK
Venue: Estadio Rommel Fernandez Gutierrez (Ciudad de Panama)
Panama have struggled to make an impact in Russia after securing a World Cup ticket in thrilling Qualifiers and they’ve struggled to bounce back after an underwhelming campaign, seeing three losses and just a draw against Korea Republic in four outings since then.
Gary Stempel’s men now host Ecuador for their Wednesday’s friendly looking to finally end the lengthy and unwanted streak, where they struggled to regularly net goals – including the 0-1 loss to Honduras on Saturday.
Ecuador now look to capitalize on such troubles on the rivals’ end and cause an upset in Ciudad de Panama too, building on their 0-2 win over Peru and a more solid streak of recent – where they earned three wins and a draw in last five outings and only suffered a 4-3 loss in Qatar in the process. They’ve been very solid defensively, keeping four clean sheets along the way, and we do believe Panama could have troubles breaking the deadlock for it too!
We will now back Ecuador to outclass the rivals and secure a win in Panama, which comes at 2.10 and looks the best way to go about the market at this point. We have seen them beat Peru recently and believe they have what it takes to build on it against Los Canaleros as well.
However, we believe they’ll have to base such a success on a tough defensive line once again and we expect another low-scoring clash on their end, as we also back the visitors to keep a clean sheet at 2.50. We have seen them do so on many occasions lately and this does feel like a great value as well, especially for those who feel they’ll snatch the win.
Away win @ 2.10 (11/10)
Ecuador to keep a clean sheet @ 2.50 (3/2).
