Olympiacos Piraeus ware forced to play Europa League qualifications after missing out on the Champions League spot as they finished third in a hugely underwhelming campaign in the previous term of Super League.

Can the new manager Christos Kontis mark the new beginning for the Greek giants when they take on FC Luzern in their inaugural official game of the season?

Oly are massive favourites both on the night and over two legs, but it will be interesting to see if they can overcome last year’s crisis and justify the tag on the pitch.

The Swiss side should really not be too big of a challenge, especially if we know that the visitors got off to a rather dismal start to the new season in their domestic league.

Rene Weiler’s men lost two on the trot there before beating fellow strugglers Lugano 4-2 at home last weekend.

Olympiacos have much more quality in their ranks compared to Luzern.

W would really be surprised to see anything else but the victory for the team which played the likes of Barcelona, Juventus and Sporting Lisbon in the UCL group stage last year.
