Olympiakos vs Dynamo Kyiv
UEFA Europa League
Date: Thursday, 14 February 2019
Kick-Off at 17:55 UK/ 18:55 CET
Venue: Stadio Georgios Karaiskaki, Piraeus.
Olympiakos host Dynamo Kyiv for their Europa League clash on Thursday and it hardly comes at the best time possible for Pedro Martins’ men, as they come after seeing a 13 game unbeaten streak ended by PAOK just days ago – where a late goal from Daniel Podence proved nothing more than a consolation.
Thrylos have seen a thriller 3-3 draw at Lamia beforehand too but the crowd at Stadio Georgios Karaiskaki hardly saw any of it, as their side bagged eight wins and a draw in last nine outings here since October. They’ve been scoring numbers of goals on the regular and building on such a tally will be crucial ahead of the trip to Kyiv.
Dynamo, on the other hand, come into the match on the back of a 1-2 friendly win over Valerenga, where they ended a streak of three games without a win. They’ve lacked competitive outings but Aleksandr Khatskevich will be more worries with their struggles to retain consistency through the friendlies – with a busy schedule coming up.
However, we will now back Olympiakos to make it hard on the rivals and we’ll go for a Home win here at 1.95 after seeing the Greek rivals base their success across competitions on rock-solid displays in front of the home crowd. They’ve seen just two losses here since December 2017 and we don’t see the visitors snatching it now.
However, they’re in for n easy task either and with that in mind, we hope to see an exciting game with goals on both ends – as we back Over 2.5 goals FT at 2.30! We’ve seen both scoring and conceding on the regular and this serves as further evidence for such a bet, proving it even tougher to predict who goes through to the next round.
