Nottingham Forest vs Millwall
England – Championship
Date: Wednesday, 3 October 2018
Kick-Off at 19:45 UK
Venue: The City Ground (Nottingham).
Millwall have suffered four losses in a row since mid-September and they now travel to Nottingham looking to finally bounce back and end the unwanted streak, with just six points to their name after ten games played.
Lions have started the campaign rather well but have now seen just one win in their last nine outings across competitions, mainly struggling for their defensive woes – where they conceded a total of ten in losses to Queens Park Rangers, West Brom, Fulham, and Sheffield United. They’ve struggled to find the net on the road too and this could be even more worrying, as Neil Harris struggles to find a cure.
Nottingham have on the other hand coped with the top of the table and they sit just a point behind the top 6, holding Blackburn Rovers to a 2-2 draw on Saturday and extending their five-game unbeaten streak – after beating Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham, and Stoke in front of the home crowd beforehand. They will now want to build on such a streak at the City Ground and will surely be a tough side to hold off.
We will back Nottingham to turn it their way, though, and build on a great spell of results at this ground with a Home win priced at a good-looking 1.95. This would be their fifth consecutive win in front of their fans and we expect Aitor Karanka’s men in great shape on Wednesday evening.
However, we do believe they’ll have to base such a success on a tough defensive display this time around and we expect another narrow head-to-head matchup – which also has us going for Under 2.5 goals FT at 1.75, which has caught the eye of many value seekers already.
