Wolves celebrated a huge 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday. They did not shine in the 90 minutes of play at Molineux eight days ago but it did not matter because substitute Adama Traore found the back of the net to grant them three massive points.
The team led by Julen Lopetegui are now five points adrift of the relegation zone and the players can breathe easier, at least in the next couple of games.
Wolverhampton will, however, continue their tough schedule on Sunday afternoon when they visit St. James’ Park to take on Newcastle in the last game of Matchday No 27.
The Magpies are finally looking ahead of an easier fixture (at least on paper) after facing the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, and Manchester City in the previous three outings across competitions.
Eddie Howe’s men seem to have lost their mojo from the first half of the season. They are really struggling to create chances in the final third these days.
