Newcastle and Leicester will wrap up the happening in Matchday No 37 on Monday evening when they take on each other in a super-exciting clash at St. James’ Park.

Both outfits need points for their separate battles, namely Leicester who are in huge danger of getting eliminated to Championship next season.

The Foxes are two points shy of the safe zone after yet another defeat seven days ago when they fell 0-3 at home to Liverpool.

Dean Smith’s men are winless in four straight Premier League affairs and they have allowed as many as eight goals in the previous two losses to Fulham and Liverpool.

This is by no means a positive sign ahead of the trip to the north of the country where Newcastle have been almost unplayable this season.

To make things worse for Smith and his men, the Magpies have been scoring at will lately. Newcastle bagged two or more goals in four of the last five Premier League matches, including the last weekend’s 2-2 stalemate against Leeds at the Elland Road.

Newcastle’s players’ fatigue may be the only hope for the Foxes given the Magpies were in action on Thursday evening in a very difficult game against Brighton.

Newcastle will also have recent tradition to back them up here given a run of four wins in the previous five meetings with the Foxes.
The Magpies celebrated two easy wins over Leicester this season, including a 0-3 success in the Premier League in December and a 2-0 victory in the League Cup in January.
The home court advantage has played a big role in the history of this matchup in general as Newcastle won 26, drew 8, and lost just 13 of the last 47 home matches against the Foxes.
