Brooklyn Nets will try and bounce back from the loss at Dallas on Wednesday evening when they host Atlantic Division rivals New York Knicks.
Analysis and Reason for Predictions
New York Knicks bagged 120 points in the big win over Minnesota Timberwolves on the road on Monday night.
Tom Thibodeau decided to stick with his earlier changes in the starting lineup and overall in rotation by giving one of his main stars Evan Fournier only 12 minutes on the floor two days ago.
It once again proved to be good for the Knicks who looked great on both ends of the floor. Julius Randle was fantastic in Minneapolis, shooting 8-for-13 from downtown to score 31 points alongside 8 rebounds.
Jalen Brunson and R. J. Barrett gave their part with 23 and 22 points respectively and there is indeed plenty to like about this Knicks roster.
Kevin Durant was on a run of 61 successive free-throws made before stepping in to take three free-throws to tie the game against Dallas Mavericks with four seconds to go on Monday night.
However, Durant missed the second free-throw as Brooklyn Nets came up two points short in the defeat at American Airlines Center.
The Nets are thus still at the very foot of the Atlantic Division standings despite winning two of the previous three games.
To make things worse for new head coach Jacque Vaughn, he is suddenly without Kyrie Irving who announced retirement, leaving Kevin Durant as practically the only legit offensive option in this roster.
The Nets are in bottom half of both offensive and defensive ratings this season and they will go into this match having scored just 94 points in the mentioned loss at the Mavericks on Monday.
It is very interesting to see the Nets as the sportsbooks’ favorites here although the Knicks will clearly enter the tie in much higher spirits. We like New York Knicks’ moneyline odds at the +150 very much here. The alternative pick could be Under 224 points at the -110 odds knowing how limited this Brooklyn team is on the offensive end.
