RCB’s two-match winning streak ended with an 8-wicket loss to Gujarat Titans. RCB lost that game by eight wickets, bringing their two-match winning streak to a halt.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians got their first win of the season in their third game, beating Kolkata Knight Riders. They won comfortably by eight wickets with 43 balls remaining — a much-needed strong performance.
The Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru have faced off in 34 IPL encounters, with MI holding a dominant record, winning 20 matches to RCB’s 14. Bangalore’s winning streak came to an end in their recent match against Gujarat. However, RCB will be eager to bounce back and have a good chance to do so against Mumbai, who have lost two of their three games this season.
Based on the recent stats, Bangalore have the upper hand. They lead in both recent performances and head-to-head records. With several players performing well consistently, RCB’s strong squad makes them a solid pick.
Mumbai’s top order has struggled this season and hasn’t crossed 90 runs in the first 10 overs in any of their three matches. On the other hand, Bangalore’s bowlers have been tight, not conceding more than 80 in the first 10 overs so far.
Patidar looked in good touch before his recent outing against Gujarat. He did well in the first two matches and can be expected to step up again. Notably, he scored a half-century the last time he faced Mumbai.
