I Biancocelesti thus took advantage of recent Inter Milan slip-ups to climb to the second position in the Serie A standings with a streak of four victories and a draw in the previous five rounds.

Head coach Maurizio Sarri can be pleased with his team’s defensive efforts of late because Lazio did not concede a single goal in the last five league matches.

The fact the streak involves two separate 1-0 victories over the likes of Napoli and Roma says enough about Lazio’s current form.

Raffaele Palladino’s men had to settle for a 1-1 draw to rock-bottomed Cremonese in the last game before the international break, though.
