Minnesota vs Los Angeles FC
USA MLS
Date: 16 July 2023, Sunday
Kick-off at 01:30 UK / 02:30 CET
Venue: Allianz Field (Saint Paul).
Minnesota United and Los Angeles FC have celebrated massive wins in mid-week, meaning we should be in for a treat when they come across each other this Saturday evening at Allianz Field.
The reigning MLS Cup winners LAFC have finally snapped a four-game winless streak by beating Western Conference leaders St. Louis City 3-0 at home on Wednesday night.
Steven Cherundolo’s men have been struggling badly to break the deadlock three days ago but they eventually made it count through main star Carlos Vela who notched the opener with 18 minutes to go.
Substitute Stipe Biuk doubled the lead before Jose Cifuentes set the final score in the second minute of added time.
LAFC moved up to second place on the West as a consequence and they will be hoping to back up such a marvelous display with another victory as they visit Saint Paul this weekend.
Minnesota also claimed a huge win of their own in mid-week. They stunned the 8th-placed Houston Dynamo 0-3 on the road to climb to the 10th position in the Western Conference standings.
The playoffs zone is now just one point away from Adrian Heath’s troops who look to have caught an amazing attacking rhythm by netting two or more goals in three of the last four league matches.
Both teams enter the tie on a high and we expect them both to offer yet another stunning attacking showing when they come across each other.
Expecting a serious drama late in the affair, we like the 3.00 odds offered for both teams to score in the second half. Alternatively, we will take LAFC’s top scorer Denis Bouanga to find the net on Saturday at the 2.10 odds.
