The hosts missed out on the top spot last season after they failed to close in on the eleven point lead that Copenhagen FC had built at the helm and were consigned to a second place finish with seventy-one points to their name.
The squad managed to net seventy-six goals which was the second most by any team and failed to post a win just twice in all of their games on home soil. They were also the best defensive side at home last season, having conceded fewer goals than any other side in the league.
The visitors came in third behind the hosts with fifty-six points and were without a win in half of their trips on the road last season. They finished their campaign with back to back wins in their last two matches, one of which was against the home side themselves.
We can certainly expect an exciting opening match day, with the home side sizing up as the favorites to take all three points.
The fixture between the two teams this week is more than likely to see the home side coming out on top.
Both the teams have just one win to their name in their pre-season friendlies and will be hoping to get off to a much more positive start in their league campaign.
The hosts certainly have the edge over the visitors in terms of how they fared in the previous season but that alone is not going to cut it. Both the sides racked up the goals in their last five games, and so we can certainly expect them to find the back of the net at least once in the end of the ninety minutes.
The home team have been far sounder in defense that their foes, so we can bet on them to be the ones to take the win by a slender margin.
