Peter Green - April 4, 2022
Middlesbrough vs Fulham
England – Championship
Date: Wednesday, 6 April 2022
Kick-off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: Riverside Stadium.
Championship leaders, Fulham who are on an 8-point lead will be traveling to Riverside Stadium this Wednesday to meet Middlesbrough who are at the Play Offs region.
The Cottagers are at top flight in Championship with 80 points from 38 games. They won 24 times in the league while drawing on 8 and losing on 6 other fixtures. They have scored 92 goals in total which itself is the highest in the league and shows their excellent attacking front.
Fulham bounced back with a 2-0 win away to QPR in their last match after failing to win their previous two matches. The victory extended their lead at the top of the table to eight points over Bournemouth although they have played an extra game.
On the contrary, Middlesbrough resides at the 5th position on the table with 62 points. Of the 38 matches played, they won on 18 games while drawing on 8 and losing on 12 other occasions. They are currently within the promotional playoff positions but there is a heavy congestion for teams scrambling to make the playoffs.
Middlesbrough will want to continue from where they left off last time out with the 0-4 Championship success over Peterborough United. They have only lost once in their last 5 league matches with their home form being excellent, winning their last 8 matches at the Riverside Stadium. This is their best winning streak at home since 1991 when they won 10 in a row.
Both teams will be going all out for the three points as they have teams chasing them down if they slip up. Fulham know a win will go a long way to securing the title while a Middlesbrough win will cement their place in the promotion playoffs.
The home team will want to end their win drought against Fulham and won’t have a better opportunity as they are on a great winning run at home.
By the looks of things, expect a Middlesbrough win or draw, this Wednesday
