Manchester United continue their busy preseason schedule on Tuesday night with the clash against League Two opposition Wrexham at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California.
The Red Devils will send their academy players to this game as the first team will be in action on Wednesday in the clash against Real Madrid.
We can thus expect to see the likes of Charlie McNeill, Omari Forson, Dan Gore, Radek Vitek, and Alvaro Fernandez on the pitch.
All of them will be exceptionally motivated to prove their worth while featuring for the first team, regardless of the opposition.
Speaking of the first team, we must say that Manchester United are flying high in preseason with three wins in three games.
They dispatched the likes of Leeds in Oslo and Lyon in Edinburgh before starting the US tour with a 2-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday.
Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho made the difference between the rivals at the weekend. Coach Erik ten Hag can be especially satisfied with his men’s defensive efforts as Manchester United are yet to concede a goal this summer in preseason.
Wrexham, on the other side, are getting ready for the return to Football League after winning the National League title with 111 points in 46 outings last year.
As you might know, the Welsh outfit are owned by popular actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Despite their wealth, the duo have not invested much money into new season signings yet.
Wrexham lost 5-0 to Chelsea before beating LA Galaxy II 4-0 in the previous two preseason exhibitions.
We expect a very competitive match between two highly-motivated teams. Man United’s academy players will use this match as a perfect chance to prove their worth to ten Hag while a win against such a big rival (even though they play with academy players) would represent a massive boost for Wrexham ahead of a new season in higher division.
