Manchester United will hope to rebound from a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon when they host Nottingham Forest in Gameweek No 3.

The Red Devils offered a somewhat better display than the one they had shown on the opening day against Wolves but, ironically, the performance against Spurs brought them zero points.

Erik ten Hag’s men fired 22 shots, including several from high-profile chances such as a clear Bruno Fernandes header from close range, but it was not enough to get past Vicario in Tottenham’s goal.

Nottingham Forest managed to get their maiden win of the season last Friday, beating newly-promoted Sheffield United 2-1 thanks to a late winner from substitute Chris Wood.

The Reds were a much better team on the pitch on the occasion and they well deserved the winning goal at The City Ground.

Their manager Steve Cooper can also be satisfied with the display Nottingham Forest have shown on the opening day, pushing runners-up Arsenal to the limits in a slender 2-1 defeat in North London.
