Manchester United and Everton will open Matchday No 30 with the early Saturday afternoon fixture at Old Trafford.

It will be the third game for United in the last six days and it will be very interesting to see whether Erik ten Hag will give rest to some of his main stars, especially with the Europa League quarterfinal against Sevilla on schedule on Thursday.

The Red Devils did not look good at all last Sunday when they fell 2-0 away at Newcastle United. Erik ten Hag’s troops failed to register more than six shots over 90 minutes of play at St. James’ Park.

The good news for ten Hag is the return of Anthony Martial who will certainly be helpful in the final third, especially since United have failed to score in three successive Premier League outings earlier.

The problem, however, is the absence of Casemiro who is still suspended and Christian Eriksen who is eyeing up a return from injury later this month.

Everton will enter this game in higher spirits after securing a massive point in the 1-1 stalemate against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night.

The Toffees were a goal and a man down in the second half of the affair at Goodison but they never gave up and eventually found a 90th-inute equalizer through Michael Keane.

Sean Dyche’s men are now unbeaten in four successive matches in the league and they are level on points with three different teams right on the brink of the danger zone.

Everton have done very well going unbeaten in four straight games under Sean Dyche. However, we can’t resist the feeling they are generally much easier to break down on the road than at home.

The Toffees allowed at least two goals in each of the previous six away outings across competitions, including a 3-1 loss to Man United in the FA Cup. This is an ideal chance for the hosts to find their wanted form in the final third.
