Lyon vs Bordeaux

Lyon had started the season in fantastic fashion by scoring 9 goals in two games and zooming straight to the top of the league. They are known now as being PSG’s nearest rival for the title. But they were brought back down to earth in midweek when their Ligue 1 game ended in defeat. They lost to Montpellier 1-0 away from home. If that wasn’t bad enough Lyon were down to 10 men after Youssouf Kone was sent off.
Even though Lyon would have been disappointed they will be back at home and if they remain focused and control the pace of the game they should be the clear favourites to win this match.
As for Bordeaux they secured their first win of the season in their 3rd league game by travelling to Dijon and beating them 2-0. It was a victory they needed as they had started the season slow and could well have got bogged down. But that win has taken the club up to 10th place.
Lyon did have chances when they lost against Montpellier and were unlucky on some chances. They will take that loss and accept it and they should be able to bounce back at home.
Bordeaux do not have much to offer this season, and Dijon should be worried losing at home against them. Lyon are odds on and so we are going to take them to start quick and be winning the game by half time which will give us better odds and value.
