Luton will play their maiden top-flight match on the home patch since 1992 on Friday evening when they open Gameweek No 4 against West Ham United at Kenilworth Road.

The Hatters had their second-round fixture against Burnley postponed and they faced the likes of Brighton and Chelsea in the remaining two away outings this term.

Two losses and a goal difference of 1-7 is what Rob Edwards’ men managed in these two affairs. The schedule will become easier as of Mathday No 5 but the Hatters still have to deal with an in-form West Ham United before.

Edwards’ men did not show much in the final third in either of the opening two matches while their defensive line proved out to be too vulnerable against two talented attacking units in the previous two matches.

West Ham will enter this in much higher spirits. After an opening day’s 1-1 stalemate at Bournemouth, the Hammers managed back-to-back impressive 3-1 wins over the likes of Chelsea and Brighton.

They’ve shown tremendous attacking displays along the way, especially Jarrod Bowen who has two goals and an assist to his name already after three rounds.

Bowen, James Ward-Prowse, and Michail Antonio were on target last weekend in a huge victory over in-form Brighton away at The Amex. They should all have plenty of room to deliver on Friday against the leaky Luton back line.
