Lokomotiv Moscow picked up a last gasp 2-1 win over Samara in their recent trip on the road to take their overall win tally to two, from four games. The hosts have succumbed to just one loss in their campaign so far, and have netted five in the process while conceding just one less.
Despite getting off to a very impressive start, Ural, on the other hand, have been hit by a sharp dip in form. The squad are without a win in their last two games, with their last home clash against FK Rostov ending in a frustrating 2-2 draw.
With their disappointing run of form under their belt, Ural look far from convincing to bring down Lokomotiv Moscow this weekend especially in their own backyard.
The hosts will be coming into the clash on Sunday on the back of a positive result in their most recent tie. The team are also unbeaten in their previous ten fixtures on home soil and have won without being breached on three instances.
Ural are far from their best in their trips on the road and have come out on top just once in their last six outings. Furthermore, the squad’s last six visits to this venue, have seen them succumb to defeat on four occasions while picking up the win in one.
Given that their last away game saw them lose without finding the back of the net, you can rule out any possibility of Ural securing all three points against the hosts.
Two of their last three goals on home soil, and three of their previous five so far, have come before the break for Lokomotiv Moscow. Considering that they have been keen on scoring early goals in their clashes up till now, we can certainly expect the home team to go searching for the back of the net and to find it before the teams head for the break.
