Standard Liege ended their UEFA Champion League adventure in a dreadful fashion, falling 3-0 to Ajax away at Johan Cruijff Arena. Will such failure affect team’s display when they return to domestic affairs on Saturday afternoon in the clash against Lokeren away at Daknamstadion?
Tricolores made a dreadful start to the new campaign as they took only a single point from three games so far. It came last weekend when they drew 1-1 to fellow strugglers Sint-Truiden away at Stayen. Maxime Lestienne will likely skip this clash as well as he is yet to make an appearance this season for Standard.
But, Michel Preud’homme still has a strong firepower on display in the final third with the likes of Duje Cop and Renaud Emond who should both have plenty of space to strike past the struggling defense of Lokeren’s.
