Liverpool continued with their hot and cold performances on Saturday evening when they did almost nothing to threaten Crystal Palace in a disappointing goalless draw at Selhurst Park.

The Reds thus terminated a two-win run in the league with a draw in the match that clearly revealed the consequences of their terrible 2-5 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League R16 tie.

On a positive note for Jurgen Klopp, his team finally kept three consecutive clean sheets in the league for the first time this term.

The Reds will be chasing the fourth on Wednesday evening when they play host to relegation strugglers Wolves in the postponed game of Matchday 7.

Wolverhampton won’t enter this match in higher spirits either. They took just one point in the previous two Premier League outings.
