Steffen Schmidt - April 28, 2023
Liverpool vs Tottenham
English Premier League
Date: 30 April 2023, Sunday
Kick-off at 16:30 UK / 17:30 CET
Venue: Anfield (Liverpool).
Liverpool and Tottenham will lock horns in the last game of a rich Premier League schedule on Sunday in the derby of Gameweek No 34 at Anfield.
The Reds will be searching for their fourth consecutive league win, the one that would potentially keep them in contention for the top-four finish.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have a mountain to climb to get there being seven points below the fourth-placed Manchester United who also have a game in hand.
However, even being within the reach is good enough for their fans at the moment after a generally horrible campaign in this term of the competition.
Liverpool seem to have finally caught some kind of momentum as they are undefeated in five successive league outings.
Klopp finally seems to have found an ideal attacking trident in the likes of Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, and Cody Gakpo. Liverpool are scoring for fun these days and they’ll come into this on the back of bagging at least two goals in four consecutive league affairs.
The hosts will have plenty of room to deliver here past the leaky Spurs defense which allowed as many as eleven goals in the previous three Premier League matches.
Tottenham lost ground on Newcastle and Manchester United in the battle for the top-four finish being six points below the Red Devils who have two games in hand on them.
Spurs have won just one of the last six games in the league and it was a controversial 2-1 success against Brighton who were by far the superior side on the pitch on the occasion.
Tottenham conceded five goals inside the opening 25 minutes of the clash against Newcastle in their previous away games. Their defensive line has been horrendous of late and we feel the hosts might run riot past them on Sunday, pretty much like they did against the likes of Bournemouth and Manchester United earlier in the season.
Liverpool to win & Over 3.5 goals FT pick is the way to go at the 3.10 odds, while we will alternatively take Mohamed Salah to score anytime at the 2.10 odds.
